Pinot Gris

Acceptable Pinot Griz grapes were grown on the farm Tennille Chalmers grew up on, a vineyard that her famous winemaking Dad planted by hand. The vineyard was the second planting of Pinot Grigio in Australia and is recognised in the wine scene as sparking the Italian varietal boom of the 90s. Picked at 12 baume, the grapes were then crushed, destemmed and fermented. Made using minimal intervention, the lees were kept active until bottling to give texture, and a small residual amount of sugar and CO2 are retained for vibrancy.
